Yolkshire recently opened its doors on FC road. The place is a delight for all the egg lovers out there! The menu in this outlet is a lot more elaborate compared to their other outlets. From sandwiches, frittatas, soups, baked eggs, omelettes to egg white omelette preparations, salads, pastas, anda apna apna to try your hand at DIY dishes, benedicts, desserts and beverages, they have it all on their menu!
We were invited to Yolkshire to try a few items from their new menu.

What we tried at Yolkshire
Iced Tea
I had the lemon iced tea which was perfectly sweet and refreshing.

Green Eggs and Ham Scramble
They offer regular(2 eggs) and large(4 eggs) options in their scrambled egg varieties.
The scramble had a smooth texture, had fine bits of greens and was topped with ham.

Spinach Eggs Benedict
For a change we tried the eggs benedict minus the bacon. This layered dish contains poached eggs and spinach on an English muffin and is topped with Hollandaise Sauce which is a tangy and buttery egg based sauce. Be it for breakfast or brunch, the eggs benedict here will make your day.

Mint and Peas Soup
This vibrant green soup topped with parmesan cheese shavings was an obvious choice considering the cold weather. It was light and refreshing. The croutons served on the side added the crunch element to this perfect winter ensemble.

Sausage and Hash Browns
This casserole included chicken sausages, potato hash browns, baked eggs, veggies and cheese. The flavour was to die for. It was spicy compared to the other dishes we tried. This one is a must try.

Spaghetti Carbonara
This egg sauce based Italian pasta dish tossed in the goodness of bacon fat is under their pasta menu. We had this with an extremely delicious and buttery Garlic Bread.

Pancakes with Butter and Syrup
One of the best pancakes I have recently had is here, at Yolkshire. The combination of pancakes with maple syrup is a classic forever and they have surely nailed this one. The quantity of the syrup is good enough to drench your pancakes in. Dunk the pancakes into the syrup or enjoy them with butter or a combination of both, you’ll surely enjoy the dish.

Affogato
Affogato is an Italian dessert. A perfect shot of espresso is poured on vanilla ice cream to get a lovely balance of the sweet and bitter flavors. It had a nice consistency and an enjoyable flavor. Since the shot is served separately, you can adjust the taste as per your liking.

Mexican Salsa Verde
They offer regular(2 eggs) and large(4 eggs) options in their meal omelette varieties. Mexican Salsa Verde was a rolled omelette stuffed with chicken marinated in green salsa, cheese, olives and tomatoes. It was served with baked beans, tossed potatoes, sour cream and whole wheat bread. Yet another delicious dish in combination with the sides given.

Overall, we enjoyed the food and service here. When it comes to the ambience, it is better compared to another outlet of Yolkshire which I have visited in the past. They have an indoor seating area as well as a few tables outside.
