Shahi Darbar and Ice Cream Factory has five outlets in Pune. I have visited the Pimple Saudagar outlet earlier. The outlet does traditional desi desserts like kulfi and falooda as well as the new, fancy and trending liquid nitrogen desserts.

What I Had

Smoking Biscuit 

These are similar to wafer biscuits like Pickwick. The smoking effect is due to the liquid nitrogen. Because of the very low temperature, your tongue might tend to burn. The biscuit has a sticky cold finish.

Dragon Breath

I don’t know how to describe the taste of these poppers as they were really cold. If you like the smoky nitrogen effect then go for this one but there is no particular taste as such.

Guava Kulfi

After having the same old kulfi multiple times, this guava kulfi was certainly a good change. The texture of the kulfi is obviously different from ice cream so it would not taste really similar to a guava ice cream.

Black Temptation

A chocolate flavored ice cream made from activated charcoal. This is the second time that I have had a black ice cream. I still have mixed feelings about the black ice cream. You could give it a try once.

Blueberry Cheesecake Ice Cream Taco

Blueberry ice cream rolls between ice cream cone wafer tacos. This was topped with blueberry syrup. I took some additional toppings as well. This tasted good but was a little messy to have.
