Sangria and Tapas Soiree
We were given an insight about Sangria and Tapas by the bar executive and the Sous Chef, Mr. Viresh Pise respectively. Sangria traditionally consists of red wine and chopped fruit, often with other ingredients or spirits. Sangria is one of the most popular drink from the Spanish cuisine. It is commonly served in bars, restaurants, chiringuitos(more often a beach bar) and festivities throughout Spain.

What we Tried
We tried the Classic Sangria. For their Sangria, the fruits are soaked in wine for 24 hours and hence have a refreshing and fruity taste. Along with fruits, they also soaked in some spices like star anise which gave it a mulled wine vibe.
You can also choose to add brandy, vodka or gin to the Sangria to make it a cocktail of your choice.
For the Tapas, we were served Calamares-A La-Romana; Crispy Potato, Honey, Toasted Sesame & Bird Eye Chilli; Tomato, Olives and Basil Crostini and Gambas- Al -Ajillo.
Calamares-A La-Romana was a fried squid dish served with lemon and a dip to go along. Gambas- Al -Ajillo was a prawns dish served with a garlic dip and dried red cabbage dust. Crispy Potato, Honey, Toasted Sesame & Bird Eye Chilli was like a spicy version of honey chili potato. The Crostini was good too. The Tapas were a good company to our Classic Sangria.

All in all, the food and drinks as well as the service was good.
